Kathakali Bhattacharya, beside being a psychologist, is a passionate Elocutionist. Since childhood she's into poetry and elocution.The overwhelming influence of her father, coupled with mentors like Smt. Angana Basu, Sri. Soumyadeb Basu and Sri Jagannath Basu, Kathakali developed her individual style of recitation. In the field of performing arts, she has bagged various awards and also performed on-stage. She recites poems of old and contemporary poets, like Rabindranath Tagore, Jibanananda Das, Shankha Gosh to name a few. Off late, Kathakali has started her own tutorial classes for aspiring students.
