Lopamudra Roy

Lopamudra Roy,  a Professor of Microbiology in a reputed College of Kolkata for the  last 15 years, is a trained singer in Hindustani Classical Music, Rabindrasangeet and Bengali Modern Songs from a very early age, and still in continuation. She had the golden opportunity to be trained under stalwarts like late Dr. Dipali Nag, late Sri Jatileshwar Mukhopadhyay and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. Presently she is undergoing training under Sri Alak Roy Choudhury and Sri Manomay Bhattacharya. She was the first-batch student and a Scholarship holder from Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty's "Shrutinandan'.

A winner of the TV Reality Show "Rabindra Sangeet-er Maharon" organized by Music 2000, the first Runner-Up of the Competition organized by Sagarika Music Company, the Winner of the "Uttam Kumar Award" and several other competitions, Lopamudra is a singer by passion, and a regular artist on Stage, YouTube and Facebook. She has attended several Workshops and Seminars related to Voice Modulation, Diction, Agomoni, Puratoni Bangla Gaan and Eternal Bengali Songs. She has got a wide acceptance among the viewers of YouTube through her melodious voice, and her viewership has crossed several thousands for many of her songs. Lopamudra has several cassettes and CDs to her credit.
