Papri Basak

Mrs Papri Basak was born on 5^th July 1985 in Barasat, Kolkata, in a musically blessed family where almost each person had an affection, love and faith in Indian music.

Her father, Mr Nitai podo Biswas was a service man in a Govt Organisation and her mother Mrs Mithu Biswas was a simple house wife who had an extreme affection towards music had a dream in her eyes to see her daughter in a prestigious position in musical world in future.

Papri started her musical journey with her first “guru” Mrs Ratna Banerjee by learning and practicing the Bengali modern songs and “Najrul geeti”. The journey continued with Mr Manab Das on “Rabindra Sangeet” and followed by Mr Chandan Roy Chowdhury on Bengali modern song.

From her childhood, she never became second in any musical competition as she participated and earned the lots of blessings and love from all.

She performed a beautiful song” Chancholo Mayuri e raat” in “Door darshan “ in the year of 2001-02.

Her musical journey is still continuing side by side with her regular house wife activities and trying to come back in the musical world with her latest released song “ Kya Jaanu Sajan” from Ananjan Studio.
