Sandhya started learning music from a very early age under the guidance of Mr. Anath Dey (Durgapur). She took her classical training from Mr. Goutam Dutta (Durgapur), Smt. Reena Basu (Bangalore), and Mr. Anol Chatterjee (Kolkata).
She was also lucky to get training under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty in Shrutinandan, Durgapur.
She had immense love from Rabindrasangeet and the urge to know more about Rabi Thakur, she did Masters in Music in Rabindrasangeet from Burdway University. She had learned Rabindrasangeet from Mrs. Debjani Roy (Bangalore) and Mr. Tapas Mitra (Burdwan).
She had secured FIRST CLASS in both her B. Music & M. Music.
She is a proud recipient of Sachipati Mukhopadhyay GOLD MEDAL in B.A. Honours Music (Rabindra Sangeet) under Burdwan University.
She presently runs her own music school named "Bihangatan" in Durgapur.
She loves to sing all types of songs.
